alone in the desert
is anybody else experiencing what I am experiencing right now? I know that Ihave been led by the Holy Spirit since He found me and came into my life 14 years ago. He gave me 1 john 2.20, 27 and since then His Spirit has indeed been guiding and leading me, through many paths and turns and ups and downs. He led me out of "religion" and the church system about 6 years ago and since then I feel like I have been totally deserted. I feel like I have been taken into the wilderness, put in a cave, and now incarcerated in a tomb! I have been totally isolated, and it is just me and the Lord. And I thank God for His encouraging minsters of Love and Grace. Thank you Lord for bringing Garys ministry and messages into my life. Only about a year and half ago did i find Garys website and begin downloading all his messages and i download them onto my ipod and i listen to the Word day and night. Breathing the Air of Life and i have found such encouragement, and hope and Life and the message of grace has just totally overwhelmed me. It has kept me going. I do not have any "fellowship" , there are not churches I attend, i have no close "christian" friends any more, in fact i feel i have become so "human" now that i cannot separate myself any more! All i can do at the moment is cling, i cling to His mercy knowing He will never forsake nor leave me.

I can identify where you are!! I'm there myself!! It's not easy getting used to!! I've learned to "ACCEPT" this is where I am and this is what it is!!! Acceptance seems to be the key!! Did you also listen to Robert Rutherford!! He sheds alot of light and truth in an entertaining way!! I live in Houma,La.;where do you live?! He's teaching me how to enjoy,embrace Life to the fullest!! Letting go of all the works we were led to believe we must do,do,do,that religion programmed us to do in order to please God!! It's really bringing us back to simplicity!! It's really very simple,but because we were led to live our lives through religion(a very complicated life) it's a bit difficult learning the simple way!! He's changing us though,day by day!! I'm in the process of writting a book concerning lots of this!! Don't know if you read"JESUS RELIGION" by Louis Charles!! If you haven't,I suggest you read it!! It's a very easy read,compacted with so much truths concerning our expierance! Feel free to share with me any time you want!! Yes I am pondering on what you said ACCEPTANCE ... it is a word that God has quickened to my heart over the last 5 months or so, first of all to realise that I am Accepted In Christ, the Beloved, I am acceptable to God and for me to learn to ACCEPT myself ...as I Am [ sin and all] that is really been hard for me, as i was raised with a strong "performance" tendency, and the end result of the performance tendency was BURNOUT in form of M.E. [ yuppie flu] I also burned when i was inside the "church system' and this is how God managed to uproot me and get me out.I have found though that in ht elast few months the more I listen to this "messsage" of Truth, Oneness, the more i am learning and experiencing True spirituality the more "human" i feel i have become. I have in fact never felt so human in my life and it "scared" me immensely... I had always separated my "spirituality" from my outward person... and this is changed a lot...to the point i almost feel backslidden!! hmmm yes i think that STILLNESS {be still and know that I am God] is the same as Acceptance... there is nothing i can do ofmyself for myself inmyself ..i of myself can do n othing but IN HIM I CAN DO ALL THINGS. amen
